The daily routines of a ESL Kindergarten classroom are ideal to building the language foundation in our class. Nevertheless, these kids need more than patterned language and routines. They need to experience situations where they will take risks with language and interact with others to collaborate on meaningful and purposeful tasks. Aproveitamos Esta actividade, non só para xogar a este xogo, senon tamén para avaliar a competencia comunicativa nos alumnos/as a través desta actividade de falar e escoitar. As rutinas diarias dunha clase de inglés en infantil son ideais para a construción dos fundamentos da lingua. A través de rutinas de calendario e interaccións, a "palabra do día", rimas, cancións e música, os alumnos/as de "ESL" desenvolverán un vocabulario común e un conxunto de estruturas útiles neste escenario. Con todo, estos nenos/as necesitan máis que a linguaxe estandarizada e rutinas. Precisan probar situacións en que eles van asumir riscos coa linguaxe e interactuar con outros/as compañeiros/as para colaborar en tarefas significativas e con un claro propósito. Con apoio, van aprender a lingua como un xogo, falando e pensando xuntos/as. Este ambiente de infantil baseado no xogo apoia a linguaxe oral para o desenvolvemento dunha comunicación primaria, así como o crecemento da creatividade, resolución de problemas, e interacción social.
